Tourist Pictures is the work of Stefan Nadelman, primarily in the field of animation and motion graphics.

Son of a wedding videographer and photographer, Stefan received a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Iowa State University in 1994 and began in New York City as a graphic designer. With the advent of Flash (animation software), Tourist Pictures was born in 2000.

In 2003, Stefan's second film Terminal Bar won the Jury Prize for short film at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. Over ten years later, a book would be published of the Terminal Bar photographs by Stefan’s father, Sheldon.

Among a variety of personal, collaborative, and commercial work, he has directed and animated shorts with Robert Smigel for Saturday Night Live's TV Funhouse and the mini-epic short film Food Fight about modern warfare.

Documentaries loom large in the Tourist Pictures CV, with work featured prominently in Brett Morgen’s Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, Jane, Johnny Knoxville's Being Evel, Amir Bar-Lev's epic Long Strange Trip docu-series about The Grateful Dead, and Judd Apatow's The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling.
